When you see these pictures, you'll know HOW much fun we had all day! There were 12 Groomsmen and 12 Bridesmaids, and everything went super smooth all day! It was a little chilly, windy, and rainy, but whenever we needed to be outside, the weather always cooperated :)

The weather was on our side, they brought the jerseys and college spirit, and the sun came down perfect for us to be able to get everything we wanted!

Such a blast at this Pittsburgh Wedding at Clear Story Studio. I felt very lucky to be the photographer, as I had front row seats to their amazing love! Anne and Mike met in Israel studying abroad, and have been together ever since!
But back to the wedding. We were nervous because of the Hurricane and bad weather. But instead of rain, Mother Nature blessed us with an amazing sunset!

It was an amazing opportunity to be invited into their home to document the beautiful family they have created! Baby Sariyah is so lucky to have such loving parents in Nicole and Loyal!
We did a nice "lifestyle" session where there wasn't too much posed. The first portion of the day I followed them around, documenting what they normally would do.
In the second half, we did a little bit of posing to capture a couple specific shots they will always be able to enjoy!

2016 City of Pittsburgh Feature Week Giveaway!
I received so much support from the City of Pittsburgh this year that I wanted to give back! For 1 week I shared a different image of Pittsburgh. At the end of the week, we choose 7 Winners who would receive a FREE print of their choice, up to 13"x19".
After posting and sharing the fireworks, I decided to do something fun!
People really enjoy my different prints of the City of Pittsburgh, so I decided I would do a giveaway! Being that it's my first year officially in business, I wanted a way to give back to everyone for all the support they've shown me.
So I set up a giveaway. Everyday on Facebook, I would feature a different print, and at the end of the week, I would choose 7 of the people who "liked" my Official Facebook Photography page (www.facebook.com/AdamMichaelsPhotography).
And I was super happy from the response. At the end of the week, we were able to have over 865 Likes. My posts reached over 18,000 people and over 1,078 liked, commented, or shared.
The City of Pittsburgh has supported me so much and I will always be thankful for that! Now lets check out the video and prints!
Pittsburgh Pirate Firework Photography Session
Awesome time doing some photography of the firework show after the Pittsburgh Pirate's beat the Milwaukee Brewer's!
A little personal work today. A good friend and I went up to Mt. Washington and had some fun taking pictures of the firework show after the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Milwakuee Brewers 5-0.
And Pirate wins always call for a celebration!
Being the first time I shot fireworks, the hardest thing was trying to guess what was coming next. You can set your composition, ISO, and aperture, but everything else after that is just a guess. Your doing long exposures where your keeping the shutter open for 3,4,5 even 10 seconds long.
Why?
Because you never know what they have planned for the show! If you capture too many bursts it will be blown out. If its not enough you have a boring picture. And you have to be careful as the smoke starts to build from the show.
Always a fun time and I'll definitely be out to shoot more!

....In real life it was really the day before Christmas, and I wanted to get some scouting done for some upcoming shoots in Downtown Pittsburgh. My sister Jade came along for the ride and ended up turning into the subject of her very own "urban-chic" shoot.

We did an awesome Pittsburgh Family & Pet Portrait Photography Session in North Park before the Holidays. When I got into contact with Carly, I knew the perfect place for their shoot! The plan was to get portraits of each of the sisters individually, together, and with their three dogs.
The pictures would then be printed, framed, and given as a surprise Christmas Present for Mom!

Color or Monochrome???
I was invited to Aida's Master Piano Recital at Duquesne University. To hear her play all the classics was a thing of beauty. We all got to enjoy her immense talent and then also celebrate with her.
After being there and getting some shots at the Recital, she contacted me to do a full Portrait Session. We turned down the lights, set up some dramatic lighting, and ended up creating both a Color and Monochrome version of each picture to try and stay with the classical feel of both the piano and Recital Hall.
